This last year has been such a blessing and a huge learning experience. As cliche as is it, I really do learn something new everyday. I remember the first few days at home with her and I thought "I've got this"... then as the months went by there were days where I thought "What in the world am I doing?"
But as much as I am learning, I cannot believe how much this little person has changed. Everyday she is growing, learning and developing a new trait.
At eleven months old she already has several words in her vocabulary.
As a true girl, her favorite word (the one we hear at least 5,495 times a day) is shoes. She can also say da-da, ma-ma (though not nearly as often as da-da), socks, this, side (for outside), tisses (kisses), bye, and I am sure there are more.
She has perfected the sign for "all done" and she signs it after every meal which steals my heart.
She is in love with dancing and will dance to any tune she hears and now has started singing along. She sang for the first time when we went to church last week (after skipping several weeks which made us feel REALLY guilty).
She loves to clap and blow kisses and sing "Patty Cake"and a new trick that I LOVE is "Eskimo Kisses". Nothing makes me happier than my little girl crawling into my lap, leaning in and giving me a soft Eskimo Kiss, followed by a real kiss ::swoon::.
So...that's my little bragging session. I love her and cannot wait to see what she learns today!
Here is Elise at a week old... so tiny and perfect!
